Nagasaki Peace Park is a park located in Nagasaki, Japan, commemorating the atomic bombing of the city on August 9, 1945 during World War II. It is next to the Atomic Bomb Museum and near the Peace Memorial Hall with the mission to inform future generations about the horror of war.
Opened in its current form in 1996, it serves to preserve the memories of victims and survivors (hibakusha), educate visitors on the reality of nuclear warfare, and advocate for global peace and nuclear abolition.
