Artwork created by Sigurður Guðmundsson in honor of Hans Jonathan, an ensalved African-Carribean who unshackled himself and became a respected merchant in Djupivogur. Born on 12th April 1784 on constitution Hill, St. Croix, in the Danish West Indies. Died in 1827 at Borgargardur, Djupivogur.
