Boca da Valeria is a small, remote village in the Brazilian Amazon, located at the mouth of the Valeria River, a tributary of the Amazon River.
The village is situated on the Amazon River, roughly 850 miles (1,370 km) from the Atlantic Ocean.
Due to the Amazon's significant seasonal rise in water level, which can be as much as 30 feet, the wooden houses in the village are built on stilts.
