Day 30, Sunday, February 23 2025 - Puerto Chacabuco, Chile

No Excursions booked in this port

Puerto Chacabuco, Chile - Small town in Patagonia, southern Chile, known as a jumping-off point for the Aysén fjords.

The port is named after the Chilean corvette Chacabuco, a late 19th-century ship of the Chilean Navy.

Commanded by Enrique Simpson in the early 1870s, the ship participated in the exploration of the fjords and archipelagoes of Aysén Region in northern Patagonia.

I bought a local woven wool hat with Aysen knitted on it.
