Toured the Cathedral of San Marcos – 19th century Gothic-style church, designed by Gustave Eiffel, was built entirely from prefabricated cast iron.
Some sources claim Eiffel prefabricated it in his shop in 1875, transported to Arica (which belonged to the then Peruvian Republic), and assembled on site.
