Day 49 - Penneshaw, Kangaroo Island, Australia - Jack & Jane
Kangaroo Island lies off the mainland of South Australia, southwest of Adelaide. Over a third of the island is protected in nature reserves.
The native population of Aboriginal Australians , Kartan people, disappeared from the archaeological record after the land became
an island following rising sea levels associated with the last glacial period around 10,000 years ago.
