Naples, Italy - Our tour of Herculaneum
Herculaneum is closer to Vesuvius crater than Pompeii but the winds blew toward Pompeii when Vesuvius erupted and gave Herculaneum time to escape until that night. Unlike Pompeii, most of Herculaneum is not excavated.
